Role overview:
We are looking for passionate storytellers who can write compelling and impactful stories about startups, entrepreneurs, and the ecosystem.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and pitch stories on early and growth-stage startups.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with founders, investors, and industry experts.
- Write clear, quality, error-free, and engaging original stories and profiles tailored for YourStory’s audience.
- Write SEO-optimised content and frame basic social media pegs for your own stories.
- Build and nurture relationships with startups, accelerators, investors, and key stakeholders in the entrepreneurial space.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in writing quality content. Freshers may also apply.
- Bonus points for experience in covering business, startups, or technology.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, backed by strong research and interviewing capabilities.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple assignments.
- Basic understanding of SEO, CMS, and social media.
- Familiarity with tools such as G-Suite, MS Office, and basic photo editing apps.
