Infosys bags 5-year contract from Sector Alarm

Infosys has announced a strategic five-year collaboration with Sector Alarm, one of Europe’s leading providers in security partially owned by global investment firm KKR, to transform its core enterprise business systems on the cloud.

Through this collaboration, Infosys will work closely with Sector Alarm to migrate its disparate, on-premises Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), helping it modernise its financial and business operating models.

Capitalising on Infosys’ digital transformation capabilities, the Microsoft platform aims to enable Sector Alarm to streamline finances, gain business insights, and help seamlessly integrate with its existing CRM platform.

KPMG in India joins SAP PartnerEdge programme

KPMG in India has joined the SAP PartnerEdge programme, combining its industry-specific, business-centric approach with SAP’s technology to help clients fast-track their digital transformation journeys to become future-ready businesses.

The KPMG digital transformation suite of solutions and services provides access to leading practice operating models pre-configured on SAP, along with human-led leading practice implementation. The SAP PartnerEdge programme enables members to leverage the power of the SAP ecosystem and gain access to a wide range of enablement tools and support to facilitate building quality, disruptive applications focused on specific business needs.

Tech Mahindra collaborates with Microsoft

Tech Mahindra has announced a collaboration with Microsoft to modernise workplace experiences with Copilot for Microsoft 365 for their 1,200+ customers and an initial 10,000+ employees across 15 locations. This collaboration positions Tech Mahindra as a leading Global Systems Integrator (GSI) adopting Copilot for Microsoft 365.

As part of this collaboration, Tech Mahindra has launched a dedicated Copilot practice focused on helping customers unlock the full potential of AI tools. The practice will include workforce training to help customers with assessment and preparation, which are critical for successfully integrating AI across every area and every function in an organisation. In addition, Tech Mahindra will offer comprehensive solutions to help customers assess, prepare, pilot, and adopt business solutions that utilise Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Siemens Healthineers India appoints new head for development centre

Siemens Healthineers India has appointed Kalavathi GV as the head of Development Center (DC) and executive director. In her new role, she will lead over 3,500 DC employees in India and Slovakia, driving the development of precision healthcare solutions using artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation for all business lines of Siemens Healthineers.

She takes over from Dileep Mangsuli, who will now lead global corporate activities in the fight against tuberculosis at Siemens Healthineers. Kalavathi who has over three decades of experience in the world of technology previously held leadership positions at Philips Healthcare and GE Healthcare.

IBM launches GenAI Innovation Centre in Kochi

IBM has launched GenAI Innovation Centre in Kochi to allow enterprises, startups, and partners to explore, experience, and build generative AI technology. The GenAI Innovation Center will provide organisations with access to IBM experts and technologies designed to help them build, scale and accelerate the adoption of enterprise-grade AI.

The centre is built on InstructLab, a new technology jointly developed by IBM and Red Hat for enhancing Large Language Models (LLMs) with a client's own data and will also take advantage of IBM watsonx AI and data platform and AI assistant technologies. It will allow clients to learn about the fine-tuning of LLMs and to partner with IBM to have their own trained, fine-tuned, and governed models deployed for their enterprise use cases.

The GenAI Innovation Center will be a part of the IBM India Software Lab in Kochi and will be managed by IBM's technical experts. With access to the latest in generative AI technology, LLMs, case studies, and IBM experts, the centre will nurture a community focused on harnessing the power of generative AI to address societal and business challenges ranging from sustainability, public infrastructure, healthcare education, inclusion and more.

C1 expands operations in Hyderabad centre

C1 (formerly ConvergeOne), a global technology solution company, has expanded its Global Innovation and Capabilities Centre (GICC) in Hyderabad. The expansion of the GICC (Global Innovation and Capabilities Center) has been part of C1’s growth strategy.

Following the inauguration of its facility last year, C1 has doubled its investment to expand the Global Innovation and Capabilities Center (GICC) into a 40,000 sq ft facility at Sattva Knowledge Park in Raidurg, Hyderabad. The seating capacity has also been doubled at GICC. As part of its strategic growth plan to foster innovation and provide advanced solutions, C1 has also established the C1 R&D Lab and the C1 Experience Center for customers.
