After launching multiple teasers as part of an ongoing promotional campaign, Hyundai has finally launched the new generation of Verna in India. Prices of the updated sedan starts at Rs 10.9 lakh and go up to Rs 17.38 lakh (both ex-showroom). The new-gen Verna is available in four trims– EX, S, SX and SX (O).

Bookings for this new sedan kicked off last month at a token amount of Rs 25,000, while deliveries are expected to begin from April. Earlier, the Korean carmaker teased preview sketches of the new-gen Verna on its social media handles before spy images of the production-spec model were leaked on the internet.

The new-gen Verna is evidently larger than its predecessor offering a 70mm longer wheelbase and a 36mm wider cabin resulting in a best-in-segment wheelbase of 2,670mm as well as a segment-best width of 1,765mm. Hyundai is offering the new Verna in as many as nine colourways including seven mono-tone options and two dual-tone options.

Features on offer

In its latest avatar, the Verna packs all the bells and whistles that justify its premium tag. It is loaded with features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, 10.25-inch digital instrument console with a color TFT MID, BlueLink connected car tech, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, keyless entry, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, and more.
