Uber Black is back: The ride-sharing firm relaunches premium service in Mumbai
With Uber Black, the company seeks to address the growing preference of Indian customers for premium offerings.
Ridesharing app Uber has relaunched its premium Uber Black service in India, beginning with Mumbai.
The company said the launch aims to meet the rising demand for premium services among Indian customers while setting a new benchmark for on-demand transportation with premium vehicles.
“We are thrilled to bring Uber Black back in an all new avatar to meet the evolving aspirations of Indian customers and introduce the business class of back seats on Indian roads,” Prabhjeet Singh, President, Uber India and South Asia, said in a statement.
Uber Black provides an array of features, such as higher end vehicles, highly rated drivers, an enhanced in-app experience, and seamless on-demand transportation, said the statement.
With Uber Black, riders can enjoy personalised rides, featuring in-car amenities and options like quiet mode, temperature control, and luggage assistance, tailored to their preferences during the trip, it added.
Singh highlighted that Uber endeavours to cater to the full spectrum of riders, including those seeking affordable rides on two or three wheels and those who desire a truly well-appointed experience in premium vehicles.
Earlier this year, Uber and app-based shuttle service Aaveg got approval from the Delhi government to operate premium buses in the city.
