In partnership with Real Kashmir Football Club, adidas has launched a photo exhibition at Rangoli Metro Art Centre in Bengaluru this week. It captures the positivity that football can bring to youth in a conflict zone.
The beauty of the Kashmir valley, including Dal Lake and the snow-clad mountains, make for a stunning backdrop for the passion that football evokes. Can sports change lives? What does the future hold for the youth of Kashmir? These are some of the questions that the exhibition evokes.
“Through football, you can get people together. Hopefully, this is one of many ways to bring peace to the region,” said award-winning photographer Prashant Godbole, in a chat with YourStory. He is founder of ad agency Ideas@Work, based in Mumbai, and also specialises in candid and street photography.
“There is thirst among youngsters to play football, and they yearn for peace. We hope to spread the wave of positive change and optimism in the valley,” said Sandeep Chattoo, co-owner of the club, which was founded in 2016.
