10 startups accelerated by APIS selected for Finland's SLUSH 2018

SLUSH is the annual flagship tech congregation of Finland, attracting innovators, enterprises, venture capitalists, policymakers and journalists from across the world.

Ten startups accelerated by the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) are selected to attend SLUSH 2018, making up a third of the Indian delegation for the conference, which is to be held December 4 and 5 at Helsinki, Finland.

SLUSH is the annual flagship tech congregation of Finland that attracts innovators, enterprises, venture capitalists, and policymakers from across the world. The event offers participants an opportunity to forge relationships with all the key stakeholders of the global startup and innovation ecosystem.

The AP startups are either based out of Andhra Pradesh or while they may be based in other states, had associated with Andhra Pradesh to participate in the startup acceleration programmes run by APIS.

The Embassy of India in Helsinki, as a supporting partner of the conference, along with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), had set up a ‘Start-up India Pavilion’, which facilitates the participation of the 30 Indian startups in the conference. These startups have been selected by the DIPP from the around 25,000 startups registered with it.

The event will help the startups explore opportunities on building partnerships, accessing cross-border markets, making funding pitches and meeting future teams.

A press statement said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh and APIS are looking at SLUSH as an opportunity to showcase the State's growing innovation landscape at the global level, and forge partnerships with some of the leading global startup ecosystem leaders that shall add to the vibrancy of the startup and innovation ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.

The 10 startups selected include Sagar Defence Engineering Private Limited, Swasti Agro and Bioproducts Private Limited, Cerelia Nutritech Private Limited, InterviewBuddy, SAMIEP Technology Innovations Private, Cyrrup Solutions Private Limited, Zunik Energies Private Limited, AnyEMI Online Services Private Limited, Right Process Infotech Private Limited and Reckon Green Innovations Private Limited.
