IIT-Roorkee becomes first IIT to embark on 'digital transformation journey'

IIT-Roorkee has become the first IIT in the country to embark on a digital transformation journey by deploying ERP technology across its campus with Director Pradipta Banerji today describing the step as another feather in the cap of the prestigious institute. He said at an event was held to mark the implementation of the project.

In sync with IIT-Roorkee's heritage and legacy of many firsts, with Wave-I of ADVAITA ERP digitisation project, we add another feather in the cap of the institute by becoming the first IIT in India to have chosen for operational digital transformation across our campuses. It is like embarking on a voyage of self-discovery; let there be no doubt that this is the beginning of a monumental change, that is going to transform the way we perform various processes. A whole new world of possibilities awaits us, like never before; our challenge is, not only to embrace this change unwaveringly, but also to leverage its potential to the fullest

With the implementation and completion of the ERP Digitisation Project, IIT-Roorkee is set to efficiently transform its processes and systems for operational efficiency, transparency and a better user experience in day-to-day functions for the students and administration alike.

Over a period of time and with completion of Wave-II next year with campus-wide integration, ADVAITA SAP ERP System would help the institute achieve a greater focus on analytics, better and quick decision making, robust and accurate business information, improved financial reporting, and simple easy-to-use interfaces; all of which shall be valued as the system kicks-off on conclusion of the project.

The SAP ERP System would empower the IIT workforce leading to eventual devolution of decision making to ease the operational administrative procedures.
