From cloud-based call centre solutions to a travel social network, the product launches of this week

Ensuring effective and prompt customer service is the sure way to gain an edge in the competitive market. Unlike large enterprises, startups and small businesses find it difficult to implement an effective customer support solution owing to fund shortage. Keeping this in mind, cloud telephony company Knowlarity Communications, last week, launched cloud-based call centre solutions, which cost lesser than the traditional call centre.

While Datawind launches detachable tablet/netbook devices, Goibibo debuts its travel social network 'GoContacts'. The third week of June, expectedly, went off well. Take a look at the product launches of the week.

Affordable call centre solution for SMEs and startups

Knowlarity Communications’ cloud-based telephony solution establishes inbound call centres to connect with customers. An enterprise requires only Internet connection and phones to implement it. The cloud-technology enables seamless operations for organisations with offices across multiple locations.

Knowlarity’s cloud telephony platform processes up to two million calls on a regular day and does more on peak days.  The call centre solution can support a 30-seat inbound call centre set-up, preventing the need for a wired traditional PBX connectivity and hiring customer care executives. Its features include monitoring, SLA tracking, agent performance reports, agent availability status and agent wrap-up time.

Its live call dashboard displays ongoing calls, available agents, average waiting time and calls in waiting. The features enable owners and supervisors to monitor, track, control and optimise agent productivity.

LawBot - legal advice Facebook Messenger chatbot

Lawyer search and legal advice platform Lawrato.com has introduced a self-help Facebook Messenger chatbot called LawBot. The chatbot lets users search for legal answers, ask a free legal question and find the best lawyer for their legal requirement. Users can also book a consultation with the bot-recommended lawyer by paying a nominal consultation fee.

For example, if a user types ‘How can a husband get child custody after mutual divorce’, LawBot through its real-time search algorithms recommends the top three divorce lawyers in the user’s city.

In a strategic move to fuel entrepreneurship and generate employment, Government of India has recently removed the 'angel tax' for investors (tax levied on investments in startups). Startups can now issue shares to investors at higher than fair value without worrying about tax consequences. The much-awaited tax exemption is likely to create enough room for product innovations in the years to come.
