"This first-of-its-kind partnership aims to present our users with a seamless shopping experience even through Viber's platform," Zopper Co-Founder Neeraj Jain said. Viber connects more than 606 million users around the world, allowing them to call, text, send photos and share important information with each other.

The partnership with Viber will help Zopper in extending its service outlay by reaching out to more customers, it said in a statement in Mumbai. In addition to this, Viber user can follow Zopper on Viber Chat and read product reviews, live conversations and user testimonials.

Zopper's platform currently features over 15,000 offline retailers. Founded by serial entrepreneurs Surjendu Kulia and Neeraj Jain, Zopper combines the benefits of shopping at a retail store with the convenience of shopping via mobile phones.

Backed by marquee investors such as Tiger Global, Blume Ventures and Nirvana Ventures Advisors, the company has raised over USD 27 million in venture funding so far.
