Flock 2015 : Twitter brings its first Developer conference to India

Flock 2015 : Twitter brings its first Developer conference to India

Tuesday April 21, 2015 , 3 min Read

Mobile is eating the world and we haven’t left any stone unturned in telling the world about it. Mobile-first strategies and mobile applications are on a huge upswing. There are challenges with respect to monetization but one thing looks clear - the future is going to be mobile. The wave has received impetus because of the huge number of takers in emerging markets like India and Brazil. India has more than 100 million mobile data users and smartphone sales are also on a high. The entrepreneurial and developer community has also kept pace with the trends and we’ve seen many great apps being built from various parts of the country.

As your apps grow, you may need to expand your toolset to suit your needs, whether they are improving your app’s stability, growing your user base, or monetizing your app. Over the last several years, developers have witnessed an explosion of mobile SDKs – each with the goal of solving a specific problem. While this gave developers more solutions and choices to tackle individual challenges, but installing and managing a wide range of SDKs can be cumbersome and complex. To solve this problem and make developers’ lives easier, Twitter unveiled Fabric, a modular, cross-platform mobile development suite at Flight their first mobile developer conference, last October.

Fabric solves the problem of installing and managing a wide range of SDKs by combining all the SDKs under one roof and organizing them into three Kits: the Crashlytics Kit, the Twitter Kit, and the MoPub Kit. Fabric is deeply integrated with the existing developer workflow, and the developer can manage the entire toolset without ever having to leave their favorite coding environment.

To make Fabric more accessible to developers and share the learnings from the advocates and engineers who built Fabric, as well as local developers who have built great apps on the Fabric platform, Twitter has announced the Flock 2015 world tour.

Now Flock is coming to meet the Indian entrepreneur and developer community who are solving the problems for millions and making their lives easier by building great apps with the power of Mobile & Internet in India.

Twitter Flock is taking place in India on May 13, 2015 at Bangalore. If you want to know more about Flock and how it can help you build the best mobile app and impact millions of users, be there at Flock 2015 - India. You can check out the detailed event agenda and RVSP for the event here.
