Constant innovation is the name of the game for Deepa Sayal
“No road is paved smooth; there will be thrills and frills in every journey and that’s what makes it worthwhile,” says Deepa Sayal, CEO and co-founder of ADG Online Solutions.
Inducted in the ‘50 Best Digital Marketing Professionals’ list for brand excellence in digital marketing by CMO Council and World Marketing Congress at the ‘Mobile & Digital Marketing Summit 2014’, Deepa started with small steps to reach where she is today.
Her beginnings were simple and small. After looking at a newspaper cutting which talked about employment in an ad agency, Deepa was struck with the idea of diving into digital marketing. She began with an advertising agency and then shifted places and positions further in various marketing streams. The first step was to convince her father to let her move to a different city and start working at the age of 20. “Since my dad was in the army, I have studied at different places in India during school and college days. I did my Master’s in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and donned the hat of an entrepreneur in 2007,” she shares.
ADG was incepted in 2007 with just 1 Lakh Rupees. Today, it has a turnover in crores.
ADG is 360 Digital Marketing Agency that designs, formulates and customizes digital media strategies, techniques and tools. It is an interactive digital-marketing solutions company where technology blends within-house creativity. The company has both national and international accounts as well asB2B and B2C clientele. Deepa emphatically states how, without compromising on aesthetics, the company isconstantly augmenting with newer technology, providing brand-makeover, creating websites, online ads, viral campaigns, digital apps, 3D models, HD films, interactive installations, content management across all major metropolis like Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai.

“This journey,” says Deepa, “has been challenging as well rewarding and most of all a great learning curve.”
Known throughout the industry as a ‘Social Media Evangelist’,this mother of two shares that her family and her strong team are her greatest source of strength and support. She is fascinated and inspired by women super achievers like KiranMazumdar Shaw. She also draws inspiration from Mark Zuckerberg and Eric Schmidt.
HerStory met up with Deepa for a rapid fire and here is what she had to say-
HS: Do you like what you do?
Deepa: Finding new beginnings, vetting new ideas and constantly innovating new best practices is my hobby. The best part about my work is that it is not repetitive.
HS: Share with us some of the milestones you have reached.
Deepa: Digital has been the most creatively inclined and far more satiating as far as career contentment is in question. Every day is another day with new ideas and innovations being baked with new tools and technologies.
Recently I was felicitated with the “50 best digital marketing professional award” by the World Marketing Congress. It was a great experience, but I guess the journey has just begun and there is a long way to go and many more milestones to be achieved.
Prior to this, ADG had won the “Aegis Graham Bell Award” for its work in social media.
HS: How has the field of social media and digital marketing grown and changed over the years?
Deepa: Social media and digital marketing are far more advanced as compared to their contemporaries. Social media is going to play a pivotal role in the years to come.
HS: What are your plans moving forward?
Deepa: We plan to embark upon a Global footprint for ADG and comprehensively prepare for it.Also, on the cards is launching a stint in socialpreneurship. We are looking at backing innovative ideas of budding women entrepreneurs within a social initiative that will be unveiled soon to support women across the country. We aim to motivate and support women entrepreneurs to realize their dream and hence, help them realize their invincible potential.
HS: Can women have it all?
Yes indeed.As a woman our responsibilities are more, but so is the reward.All that is needed is a perfect and tender balance. I love being a mother of two lovely daughters who are my constant source of inspiration.
